Fragmented knowledge and inefficient communication

A global brewing company with more than 3,500 active members in its internal Power Platform community was searching for a way to quickly and effectively answer user questions. With thousands of members asking daily questions about specific functionalities and development challenges, it became increasingly difficult to provide fast and consistent responses.

Users spent unnecessary time searching for information, while communication was not standardized. In addition, the solution had to be scalable so that a growing user base wouldn’t require additional support.

The approach: PowerBot, an AI-powered assistant

Macaw developed PowerBot, an AI community support bot that leverages advanced AI technologies within the Microsoft Power Platform environment. The bot is directly available via Microsoft Teams and acts as both a personal assistant and within group chats and team channels.

PowerBot was developed with:

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP): Understands and responds to user questions in natural language.

  • Machine Learning: Continuously improves its answers based on interactions.

  • Data Integration: Retrieves information from various data sources for accurate responses.

  • Customization: Adaptable to the specific needs and branding of the organization.

  • Scalability and Security: Built on a robust and secure platform.

Each question activates an automated workflow using the Azure OpenAI Davinci-03 model. This model analyzes the question and generates a relevant, company-specific answer. Additionally, a dedicated Teams channel has been set up within the Power Platform community, providing members with easy access to the bot and allowing them to learn from previous questions.

The result: faster access to knowledge and increased productivity

Thanks to PowerBot, users find answers more quickly, significantly reducing search time. Knowledge sharing is standardized, ensuring consistent and reliable information across the organization. Collaboration within the community is also strengthened, as members connect more easily and exchange knowledge.

PowerBot is fully scalable and grows effortlessly with the number of users, without additional support costs. This makes it a future-proof solution for efficient and effective community support.
