Last week three days were marked in the agendas of quite some Macawers, and maybe in yours as well. It was time again for Microsoft’s annual gathering of technology leaders and practitioners; Microsoft Ignite 2020. On September 22, Microsoft Ignite Virtual Event started with a keynote from CEO Satya Nadella. And he shared his vision on how Microsoft is innovating across their tech stack to help organization address real-world challenges.
Project Cortex
As always a lot of news was announced, but we would like to put a special focus on Project Cortex. As of October 1, 2020, Microsoft SharePoint Syntex – the first product released as part of Project Cortex – is generally available. It is the first new commercial product since the launch of Microsoft Teams, and it will surface knowledge from within SharePoint using Artificial Intelligence. Seth Patton, General Manager of Office 365 Product Marketing at Microsoft shared an interesting post which also includes a short, explanatory video. In his post he says: “SharePoint Syntex uses advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning teaching to amplify human expertise, automate content processing, and transform content into knowledge.”
Preferred Partners
Microsoft also announced their Preferred Partners in their Microsoft Content Services Partner Program (CSPP), and we are very proud to be one of the 17 Preferred Partners, of which the majority is active on the other side of the ocean. The Preferred designation is reserved for the Microsoft Charter Partners who also completed deep training on business value and technical delivery of solution for knowledge and insights – including SharePoint Syntex.
We look forward to helping our customers utilizing AI in the modern workplace!
